The Cosmonauts are a high-energy 4-piece wedding and event band known for filling dance floors with their diverse setlist and electrifying live performances.
2. What kind of music do you play?
We play an eclectic mix of genres, covering rock, pop, soul, funk, indie, and timeless hits from the 1960s to today’s chart-toppers. Whether you love old-school classics or modern party anthems, we’ve got something for everyone!
3. Can you take song requests?
Absolutely! We’re happy to learn a special song for your first dance or any key moment during your event. If you have specific song requests, just let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to include them.
4. How long do you perform?
Our standard wedding performance lasts around 3 hours, with a short 15-minute break. We also offer a late-night DJ service to keep the party going!
5. Do you provide a DJ service?
Yes! We offer a DJ service as an optional add-on after the band finishes. Our DJ can take song requests and create a playlist tailored to your guests.
6. How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for popular dates during peak wedding season (spring and summer). Dates can fill up 18–24 months in advance.
7. Do you travel for weddings and events?
Yes! Although we’re based in Galway, we’re available for weddings and events across Ireland and internationally. Travel costs may apply for longer distances.
8. What’s included in your wedding package?
Our standard wedding package includes:
A 3-hour live band performance (with a short break)
Professional sound and lighting equipment
Your first dance song performed live
Optional late-night DJ service
The option to add a saxophone player for an extra-special touch
9. What do you need from the venue?
We require a safe performance space, a reliable power supply, and access to the venue 1–2 hours before the event for setup and soundcheck. If you’re unsure about the venue’s suitability, we’re happy to liaise with the venue directly.

11. What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible. The booking fee is non-refundable, but we’ll do our best to accommodate a new date.
12. Do you offer other entertainment services?
Yes! In addition to our full band performance, we can provide:
Nicola, a multi-award-winning ceremony singer.
Nicola is also a wedding celebrant and an HSE-registered solemniser, meaning she can conduct legally binding wedding ceremonies.
13. Can we see you perform live before booking?
Of course! We regularly perform at showcase gigs and public events. Follow us on @CosmonautsWeddingBand for updates on upcoming shows.
14. What happens if a band member is unavailable?
We have a team of experienced backup musicians (deps) who are fully rehearsed and ready to step in if needed. This ensures your event runs smoothly, no matter what.
